Aitanit’s villagers believe her name derives from ain, the Arabic word for spring, and Tanit, a Berber goddess of maternity and fertility. Famous for her olive mill which combines both traditional and new olive pressing techniques, this mountainous beauty hosts hikers along certain paths of the Lebanon Mountain Trail.
