Largely known for her grapes and olive groves, Bterram is home to ancient underground temple Eshmunit, belived to be more than 3,000 years old. Legends of miraculous healing and fertility are still told, as locals still visit the sanctuary to light candles and touch its walls, seeking Phoenician god Eshmunit’s blessing.
