One of Edgard Chaya’s collaborators call Chlifa home. He tells the story of a castle erected on her grounds during the Roman era. Called Qasr el Banat, literally translating to “the girls’ castle” from Arabic, this palace is said to have been built by a king for his daughter, so that he could see her all the way from his residence in Baalbek.
