Manara was witness to founder of Blatt Chaya, Edgard Chaya’s countless tennis games during his twenties. He fondly remembers taking the train through Al Borj, then Wadi Abou Jmil, by the school known as “Ecole des Frères”, and what is now known as the American University of Beirut, before getting to Manara.
