This beauty’s crown jewel is without a doubt the Sofar Grand Hotel built in 1890 by the Sursocks. Housing Lebanon’s first casino in 1892, this gem bore witness to the highest players of society socializing and gambling every summer night, until the civil war in 1975, when it was unfortunately severely damaged, looted and abandoned. Today, the hotel is carefully being restored.
