As well as having once accommodated Blatt Chaya founder’s restaurant Broadway, Wardieh is home to one of Hamra’s most remarkable buildings, the Interdesign building designed by architect Khalil Khouri. Presently seized by a bank following its owners’ bankruptcy, this striking concrete vessel was devised solely to house a furniture showroom, with platforms showcasing the furniture at different angles and elevations.
