Famed for her rich Maronite heritage and culture, Zgharta takes pride in her churches, including her prized Notre Dame of Zgharta built out of the rocks of Zgharta’s old fortress. Ehden once was the sole residence for Zghartanians, prior to the birth of Zgharta. Today, residents summer in Ehden for cooler days, and flock to Zgharta for warmer winters.
